Weve already seen all kinds of reality shows: dating, competition, job search, hidden cameras and makeover shows. But it turns out that not everything has been attempted in this genre. Some Canadian reality show authors have just come up with the idea of a reality show which centres on driving instructor training. The participants will be given an opportunity to become driving instructors in less than a week. I think the idea is rather controversial. You have to be a responsible person and have all the required skills to become a driving instructor. It obviously takes weeks or even months of intensive training: practical driving, learning the traffic rules, attending methodology and psychology classes. These people are going to be teachers, thats one thing, but what is even more striking, they are going to work in dangerous conditions. This reality show idea reminds me of another absurd one that was actually put into practice. Most of us remember the show in which people were supposed to learn some new skills in just a week and then tried to merge in a group of real experts? Well, the new reality show is probably going to be based on similar assumptions. But driving instructor training is a serious thing. You cant fake being an instructor, and its certainly dishonest to do so.
